- Join a global manufacturer in Northern Illinois as a Purchasing Supplier Manager where you will play a significant and strategic role in working with suppliers.
- To purchase the highest quality and most cost-competitive materials and supplies and ensure that they are effectively delivered to the manufacturing and support teams.
- 3-10 years related experience and/or training.
- Supplier contract experience.
- Strategic sourcing experience.
- CI and 6 Sigma experience desired.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strategic sourcing and negotiation with global suppliers Ensure purchased materials and supplies are effectively delivered to the manufacturing and support teams.
- Select or assist in the selection of vendors who deliver the highest quality, low cost, and on-time service.
- Develop and foster partnerships with the vendor base.
- Facilitate vendor quality and capability improvements.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Occasional travel to supplier locations .

EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university:
