Job Description

  • We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Office Manager/Director, reporting to the West Regional Manager.
  • In this key leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing the growth and operational excellence of our Washington and Oregon offices.
  • Your primary focus will be to lead the office team in winning and delivering profitable work, expanding our market share with city, state, and regional clients .

Responsibilities

    • Marketing and Business Development- Collaborate with the West Regional Manager and Marketing Manager to devise and execute state marketing and growth strategies across targeted infrastructure markets.
    • Provide oversight for key opportunities, ensuring compliance with client management, pre-positioning, go/no-go, and pursuit strategy best practices.
    • Schedule regular meetings with key clients to enhance their experience.
    • Represent the firm at industry and community events, actively participating in local professional organizations.
    • Team Management- Ensure staff compliance with company utilization expectations and implement corrective action plans as needed.
    • Anticipate and address current and future staffing needs, working closely with the Talent Acquisition team to fill open positions.
    • Oversee succession plans and support the development of defined successors across the team.
    • Finance and Operations- Ensure office and project profitability.
    • Monitor budget and operational performance, communicating key metrics regularly to the local leadership team and the Regional Manager.
    • Resolve high-level operational issues promptly and take actionable steps to enhance performance.
    • Maintain a defined level of chargeability, if applicable, in agreement with the Regional Manager.
    • Facilitate efficient decision-making, team engagement, and collaboration through effective communication within the office and region.
    • QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Minimum of 10 years of diversified engineering experience, including technical and managerial roles.
      • Degree in engineering or a related field.
      • Proven experience in operations and project management.
      • Track record of scaling a business and team for growth.
      • Ability to develop long-term relationships with clients, teaming partners, and community stakeholders.
      • Strong leadership and management skills.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
